Mohamed Salah delivered a historic performance for Trabzonspor against Galatasaray in the 6th week of the Süper Lig. He scored a hat-trick and provided an assist in a 3-1 victory at Papara Park.
Salah opened the scoring as early as the 4th minute, finishing a rapid counter-attack to put Trabzonspor 1-0 up. He covered 85 metres uninterrupted before slotting the ball home. "Salah, with a clean strike after entering the penalty area, sent the ball into the net to the right of Uğurcan and put Trabzonspor 1-0 ahead," he said. He assisted Nicolas Saviolo in the 39th minute and scored his second goal just a minute later. He completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute.

With this display, Salah became the first Trabzonspor player to score a hat-trick against Galatasaray at home in Süper Lig history. He also earned the distinction of being the first Egyptian player to score in the Trabzonspor-Galatasaray rivalry. According to Opta data, he is the first foreign player since the 2000/01 season to score in all of his first three home matches for Trabzonspor.
