Trabzonspor, Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe have submitted a joint request to the TFF to postpone their Süper Lig matches in the second round. The request from the three clubs reached the TFF on August 17. Trabzonspor is currently 11th in the league with 1 point from 1 match (0 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses). They have a goal difference of 0 and are 2 points behind leaders Amed.

Why the postponement request? Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor want their league matches postponed ahead of their European cup play-off games. Fenerbahçe will play Lyon on August 18, while Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş will play their first European cup play-off matches on August 20. The clubs are requesting postponements due to their busy schedules.

What will the TFF decide? The TFF is expected to evaluate the requests. Fenerbahçe had previously requested a postponement from the TFF but was denied. Fenerbahçe's football director Oğuz Çetin stated, "We will play 7 matches in August. Two days before our crucial match against Lyon, we requested the postponement of our away match against Gençlerbirliği to the TFF. We haven't qualified for the Champions League in about 17 years, and this process is very critical both sportingly and financially. Unfortunately, the Gençlerbirliği match was not postponed. It doesn't matter, we will tolerate it and overcome it. Whatever comes our way, we will proceed with determination." ## What will happen in the Süper Lig? If the TFF accepts the request, new dates will be set for the Fenerbahçe-Konya, Trabzonspor-Başakşehir and Alanyaspor-Beşiktaş matches. Trabzonspor's next match will be at home against Kocaelispor on December 20. Kocaelispor is currently 15th in the league.
