The management company of Gedson Fernandes has officially denied transfer rumours linking the player with Trabzonspor. Gestifute stated that reports of the Portuguese midfielder leaving Spartak Moscow for the Turkish club in the winter window are untrue.

In a statement to Russian media this week, the agency said, "There is no possibility of Gedson going to Trabzonspor this winter." A Gestifute spokesperson added, "He wants to play at Spartak and is very happy at this club."

CONTRACT RUNS UNTIL 2029

Gedson Fernandes is under contract with Spartak Moscow until the summer of 2029. The Portuguese player transferred to the Russian side from Beşiktaş for a fee of 20 million euros in 2025.

This provides a clear answer regarding the player, whose name had been mentioned in connection with Trabzonspor's mid-season plans. The club's transfer committee will now turn its attention to other targets ahead of the January window.

Trabzonspor continues its Süper Lig campaign next week, with the full match schedule available on the fixtures page.
