Galatasaray is preparing to enter talks for a loan deal with an option to buy for former Trabzonspor midfielder Christ Inao Oulai in the upcoming winter transfer window. The 20-year-old Ivorian, who moved from Trabzonspor to Fiorentina last July for a reported €30.61m, is reportedly unhappy with his lack of playing time in Italy and is keen on a return to Turkey.

The transfer structure included €26m guaranteed and €4.61m in bonuses. Crucially, the agreement secured a 10% sell-on clause for Trabzonspor from any future net transfer fee, meaning the Black Sea club has a direct financial interest in Oulai's next move.

Galatasaray's technical director Okan Buruk is said to be driving the move. "It has been reported that Galatasaray Technical Director Okan Buruk wants to see Oulai in his squad and that the board is preparing to contact Fiorentina during the mid-season transfer period," Buruk stated. Oulai has made just five appearances for Fiorentina this season, totalling 245 minutes, and was left out of recent matchday squads.

Trabzonspor, currently 7th in the Süper Lig with 10 points from 6 games, face Samsunspor away tomorrow. Their recent form reads two wins and three losses from their last five outings. Any potential transfer involving Oulai will be monitored closely in Trabzon due to its financial implications.
