Trabzonspor's general manager Erturul Doan has recently dismissed rumors linking the club to Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. In a statement, Doan clarified that there is no basis for these reports and emphasized that Trabzonspor currently has no plans to pursue the player.

Doan stated: 'There’s nothing to discuss or plan regarding Salah. We already have no intention of signing him. If we had any such intentions, information would be shared with the public.' He further added, 'Salah is a world-class player and one of the Premier League's most successful players. Anyone who doesn’t want him should know better. There’s nothing to discuss or plan regarding him.'

Doan also addressed the club's transfer strategy: 'We are focused on protecting our reputation. We were offered between 25-30 million for Salah, but we do not have any intention of pursuing him. This is just a marketing campaign. We must pay attention to every word we say as it relates directly to our reputation.'

Regarding Trabzonspor's transfer plans, Doan stated: 'We will make signings wherever necessary. We are preparing for the next season and looking at potential transfers. Our goal is to build a team with both experienced players and promising young talent. We have been discussing this with Coach Fatih Hoca several times. There is a roadmap in place, and we are moving forward without any gaps. We may need 2-3 more signings.'

Doan concluded by emphasizing the club's focus on building for the future: 'I understand what everyone is thinking, but our plans align with reaching the summit. This season will be our first year in the league, and we aim to win a cup this year. While the manager and players have shown great professionalism, we are focused on addressing our weaknesses before the new season to build a competitive team. This is not just about playing well on the field but also coming together as a community. We will do whatever it takes to make these decisions, with Coach Fatih Hoca leading the way.'
